This piece was created with a mixture of both traditional and digital medias. The drawing was made traditionally and painted with watercolors on canvas paper, although I would have preferred to have painted it on rice paper. Scanned in at 600 dpi, I cleaned it up and added several effects through layering. Resizing the picture, I decreased it to 400 dpi.
Overall... this piece is HUGE!!! Its actually huge- er....

Description: Dreaming of our journey, from the blossoming sakuras to the icy mountain. We travelled far to the ends of Nippon. Though not the end, we continue to watch from afar. Our journey still continues, as our paths cross through the stories of our time and the length of our dreams.

I like the Chinese version of the sumi brush technique. I didn't have any ink so... I, proceeded to give the painting a wash with less details to give it the dreamy feel and look.
I actually had trouble whether or not I wanted it to look saturated or for the colors to pop. Having the picture look saturated would tie in with the title of having a dreamy, sleepy, nauseating feeling in playing the game (especially for the ones who finished it, like me). But in saturating the picture, I lost the vibrant colors that the game was famous for apart from its sumi brush art style.

Well.. this is my entry for the contest, I really like this piece considering I did it traditionally (well... half at least lol) and I actually have the piece so hehehehe... I can hang it up on my wall.
I also made other fan-arts for the game, but it was mostly for my own enjoyment, not for the contest, considering I made it way before the contest even came to be, so I'll be posting that later in my gallery. I love the game!!! <33
